Head Professional

Jeff enters his 4th season at the Glendale G&CC, after 14 seasons at Inglewood G&CC and 9 years as the Head Professional. Jeff graduated from the Grant MacEwan Professional Golf Management Program in 2006. Jeff has been a PGA of Canada Class A member since 2008. He sits on several committees within the PGA of Alberta and continues work with many Professionals on a National level. In 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 he was recognized as a top finisher in the PGA of Alberta Top 100 program by contributions to the association, the community and his playing ability. Jeff is a Master Professional with Callaway Golf and a Travis Mathew ambassador. An experienced golf instructor, Jeff has taught many notable players on all levels. His teaching philosophy continues to evolve through Trackman Technology and is level 1 & 2 Trackman certified. Jeff is looking forward to catching up with the Glendale membership and to continue progressing its great culture with new ideas and innovation.

Jeff’s Coaching Programs

Trackman Golf- Ensuring clients utilize current technology to its fullest extent. Trackman is a device that is a must in golf instruction. Jeff ensures clients learn the numbers but dials it down depending on the caliber of play and how they enjoy learning the game. Trackman continues to evolve and so does his students.

The Long Game- Clients will learn how to become consistent by taking away two way misses and understanding what their misses are and how to correct them by understanding the golf swing. Jeff provides consistent fundamentals and mechanics based on the student.

The Short Game-All players know short game can make or break great rounds but even more so when players need to prevent bad rounds. Jeff practices sound fundamentals to ensure consistent contact, good misses and how to utilize all shorter clubs. Jeff’s putting knowledge is at a high level that will give clients an edge on green reading, proper pace and alignment.

Course Management- Golfers need to understand the importance of playing to their ability and how to utilize this on the course. Understanding what clubs to use and when to use them is a must for progressing their games. Jeff instills confidence by understanding his students abilities and what they can do on the golf course. Building a program and developing that coach/player relationship is a must for progression. On course lessons and course stats are very important to his programs.

Physical Fitness- Jeff has always taken physical fitness seriously and believes clients need to have the proper exercises for success. Everyone has different abilities and he takes this into account for each one of his students.

Mental Side of the Game- Being confident in what you do is everything when it comes to reaching goals. Students need be confident with what they are working on and fully understand the short & long term gains. Jeff motivates his students to become better through knowledge and hard work.

Tools of the Trade- Clients at The Glendale receive many different aspects for training which includes many coaching aids and the use of Trackman technology. Clients get supervised practice and will have many aids available to help them with what they are working on.

Golf Equipment- The Glendale has all major brands and is a member’s best source for clubs. Within Jeff’s programs, clients will receive proper fittings for their golf swings.
