The loft and lie of a golf club are important factors in determining the trajectory and direction of the ball when it is hit. The loft refers to the angle of the clubface, which affects the lift and spin of the ball. The lie refers to the angle of the shaft in relation to the ground, which affects the angle at which the clubhead strikes the ball. Checking and adjusting the loft and lie can help a golfer achieve a more consistent and accurate shot.
